Spurn Point: Seascape Photographic Workshop 23rd July 2016
This one day photographic workshop will cover some of the most dramatic scenery the North of England has to offer. Dependant on weather conditions and the size of the swell, we will be covering locations such as the Humber Bridge with its dramatic iconic architecture, Spurn Point’s classic lighthouse, plenty of Groins and an abundance of beautiful sand dunes with flowing curves and wonderful grasses to keep you busy on the walk to the lighthouse.
What to expect on this photograph workshop?
Spurn point is a dynamic environment that is constantly changing and moving 2 meters a year! On the day we have endless possibilities but possible options include, focusing on seascape, movement, dramatic vistas, architectural lighthouses, bridges and experimenting with long exposure to simplify the moving sea and grasses is a must! There are also some classic seascape subjects with plenty of groins and the dominant lighthouse. The locations lend themselves to black and white moody shots and this is something that will be covered on the day!

A typical workshop day often includes tuition on the following subjects; camera set-up, live view and accurate focusing, of field preview, effective tripod setup, shooting manual, bespoke and one to one demonstrations of exposure, metering, and bracketing, focusing, depth of field (known as Hyperfocal distance).
