Who says you can’t make images in the pouring rain? This hand stitched panorama was done in the middle of a 24 hour drenching I had last weekend up in the northern Yorkshire Dales! I had just been to Aysgarth Falls and to be honest felt so despondent with the weather, I forced myself to take a peek at West Burton Falls. I had not been there before and I felt it was about time I made the effort. Well it’s a lovely little village in its self and the short stroll to the falls is pleasant enough. I think I was lucky with the rain, there weren’t many people around and once the chap with the dog stopped throwing a stick for it right to the middle of this image, I managed to do a panorama.
Would be good to come back on a sunny day and take a dip, but the water looks so deep here that I’m sure there is something big lurking beneath! Watching Jaws as a kid has scared me for life!
