DOWNPOUR - Porthcurno, Cornwall
Went to this location a few years ago and have wanted to go back ever since. It’s a spot that I first went to when I was 16 with my old 35 millimetre Pentax, I was very keen on landscape photography then, but didn’t know very much about how to make the most of the location. I did however fall for the rugged coastline and the amazing turquoise sea! I then went with Tony Spencer a few years back, and I was reminded of just how amazing the place was. Ironically hid dad was on the beach just below and to the right of this shot the very same morning, but I only found out later as it would have been good to finally meet Peter.
Anyway, So several decades later I stood there attempting to record the atmosphere, having just been caught in a massive downpour, which you can see in this shot heading off towards the horizon, but I think I have done the place justice. It’s a vertorama, because I wanted to really capture the detail in the foreground bracken and shortly going to be hanging on my wall, hope you enjoy it as much as I do (o:
